The Why and How of Claims Advocacy

 11 a.m.

Claims advocacy is an insurance industry term for a simple, yet powerful principle: Employers can do their part to control the impact of workplace injuries on employees and the organization. Our experts will clear up common misconceptions about how to respond to accidents, break down best practices for investing in a return-to-work program, and share tips for navigating workers’ compensation benefits and other types of employee leave. You will also hear about a new Fund initiative designed to reduce the risk of potentially fatal post-surgery blot clots to injured employees.

Presenters: Robert Mikesh, Workers’ Compensation Department Director; Brian Buck, Workers’ Compensation Medical Director, TASB Risk Management Services

April Mabry, Assistant Director, TASB HR Services

Getting the Most from Claims Reports

Presenters: Sharon Dieckert, Manager, Business Intelligence and Reporting; Charles Huter, Risk Solutions Consultant, TASB Risk Management Services
